Beliefs are back with a new video for their track Swooner, which is lifted from their album ‘Leaper’. There’s a bit of a story behind the video. Last autumn, Beliefs singer Jesse Crowe wanted to shave her head. The only problem was she was playing in a Portishead tribute band on Halloween night and she had kept her hair styled like Beth Gibbons for months to look right for the part. The day after Halloween, she got her friend Shehzaad Jiwani of Toronto band Greys to shave her head in the Unlovable Bar bathroom, music video director Ivy Lovell captured the process and this became the video for Swooner. Watch it below via YouTube.

Beliefs are prolific artists and musicians in the Toronto music scene, with Crowe recording in projects PRAISES and ROLEMODEL, and Korody as a founding member of WISH and NAILBITER as well as producing countless projects at his Candle Recordings studio.
