Superdivorce80’s inspired synthwave duo — Superdivorce — have shared their new single The Predator lifted from upcoming album ‘Action Figures,’ releasing on October 27th, 2017 via Too Sweet Records. The accompanying music video is a montage of behind the scenes footage from the recording process. Watch the video clip via YouTube below.

In less than one year’s time, Superdivorce transformed from a four-piece post-hardcore band on the verge of fiery death, into a electro-pop duo with ten brand new songs prepared for release. In the form of a full-length album called ‘Action Figures,’ Nick Villars and Zach Bender created a collection of tunes for the express purpose of dancing and singing.

Nick Villars is no stranger to the music industry, although initially he had much heavier musical leanings, playing in multiple bands in the post-hardcore scene throughout the early 2000’s. Most notably, Villars played with southern post-hardcore band The Great American Beast (Trustkill Records) and Sleep Star Ignition. It was here that he met Zach Bender, Sleep Star Ignition’s drummer at the time.

After Sleep Star Ignition split, Villars and Bender decided their musical chemistry was too palpable to abandon and decided to continue jamming together, going on to release their first full-length album, ‘Wish Ya the Best,’ as Superdivorce in 2016.

With influences ranging from Tears for Fears to Kavinsky, the duo has created an album that’s just as much Depeche Mode as it is Wham!. These two boys from Lebanon, Ohio endeavor to deliver an exciting journey for listeners and concert-goers.
