Liège-based rock trio Fervents just dropped some big news: their debut album ‘Service For The Sick’ is landing 9th October 2026 via Capitane Records, and they’re kicking things off with their first single, A Letter, out now.
If you haven’t heard of them yet, buckle up. For fans of Gouge Away, IDLES, and Title Fight, Fervents play the kind of tense, no-BS rock that grabs you by the collar and doesn’t let go.
About “A Letter”
A Letter might be the sharpest thing on the album — a lean, unsettling fable about receiving a call to war from a country you barely recognize anymore. Recorded in the US in 2025, it hits different right now, and it knows it.
The video? Almost accidental. Shot during a day off in Oakland, director Thomas De Hemptinne rigged a camera in the trunk of a rental car and let it roll through the Temescal neighborhood — one long, restless tracking shot that matches the song’s nervous, forward-driving energy perfectly. It’s scrappy and visceral and totally works.

Two years on from their EP ‘Plastic Snake Factory’ (remember the single “Faith”?), Fervents went back to the studio with something heavier in mind. They linked up with producer Jack Shirley — the guy behind records by Deafheaven and Gouge Away — at Atomic Garden in Oakland, CA, and came out with something rougher, darker, and built to last.
The album runs on abrasive rhythms and melodies that stick whether you want them to or not. Lyrically, it takes aim at social conformity, everyday addiction, and the quiet violence of just… getting on with it. Work. Debt. Consumption. Isolation. You know the vibe.
