High-energy rock duo Girl Tones just dropped the news we’ve been waiting for: their debut album ‘Precious’ arrives November 6. Produced by Brad Shultz of Cage The Elephant and released through his label Parallel Vision in partnership with Big Loud Rock, ‘Precious’ is the sound of a band who has fully let go of the wheel — unapologetically chasing creative and personal freedom, and daring you to do the same. Pre-save it here.

Critics have already been circling comparisons, and for good reason:

“While the White Stripes — their most obvious comparison — were about controlled energy, Girl Tones are proudly imperfect.”

“…high-energy, commanding performance reminiscent of female-fronted indie-punk acts like Sleater-Kinney, Mannequin Pussy and Sincere Engineer — all while crafting their own unique, punchy sound full of gritty and distorted guitars.”

New Single & Video: Pretty Face

Alongside the album news comes Pretty Face, a muscular new single that finds the band once again refusing to play it safe. Palm-muted guitars trail confident, snotty-punk vocals as the song digs into what happens when people’s masks finally slip — Girl Tones seeing right through the shallowness. Stream it here.

“So many people will hide who they are just to be accepted,” the band’s drummer Laila sighs. “Why try to fit in? What does it really add up to?“

“We tracked this one later in the process,” singer and guitarist Kenzie adds. “It’s heavy, and it puts a stamp on things. To me, it makes a declaration, ‘Listen, we’re not here to play’.“

The band also unveiled an official video for Pretty Face, directed by Emily Buchwald and filmed — fittingly — in a wig store. It’s a perfect entry point into the Girl Tones universe.

First-Ever Headline Tour

Girl Tones have spent this year proving they’re one of the most exciting live acts around, touring alongside Dexter and The Moonrocks, Peter McPoland, and The Rare Occasions, and hitting festival stages at SXSW, Treefort, The Great Escape, Bottlerock, Outside Days, and Bonnaroo, with Just Like Heaven coming up next.

Now they’re taking that energy on the road themselves: Girl Tones just announced their first-ever headline tour, hitting the East Coast this November in support of ‘Precious.’ Highlights include Mercury Lounge in New York City and DC9 in Washington, DC. About Girl Tones

As colorful as your favorite candy and as sharp as a trusty blade, Girl Tones create from contrast. The Bowling Green, KY duo — sisters Kenzie (vocals, guitar) and Laila (drums) — serve up sweet melodies over sour, distorted riffs, and the whole thing is as addictive as it is loud. (Their outfits might be louder than the guitars, honestly.)

They’ve been obsessed with music since childhood — Kenzie traded cello for guitar, Laila stepped away from piano and behind a drumkit — and started out writing songs in the woods before working their way through countless D.I.Y. shows around Kentucky. That grind eventually caught the ear of fellow Bowling Green native Brad Shultz, the Cage The Elephant co-founder and guitarist, who signed them to his Parallel Vision label alongside Big Loud Rock.

Since then, tracks like “Blame,” “Cherry Picker,” “I Know You Know,” and “Again” have racked up over 1.4 million streams and pulled praise from Rolling Stone, VICE, Consequence, PAPER, NME, DORK, SPIN, and Flaunt. Earlier this year, Girl Tones landed on Amazon Music’s Artists to Watch for 2026.

Beyond touring the world with Cage The Elephant, they’ve shared stages with Silversun Pickups, The Velveteers, and hey, nothing., turning crowds into converts everywhere from Lollapalooza to Just Like Heaven. Now it all culminates in ‘Precious,’ their full-length debut, out November 6 via Parallel Vision/Big Loud Rock.
