We’re thrilled to be hosting the premiere of Paralyzed, a taste from LG Galleon’s forthcoming record ‘I Am Your Pity’ — and if this track is any indication, the wait for the full album is going to feel long.
For more than a decade, LG has been the guiding voice behind Dead Leaf Echo, the Brooklyn art-rock collective whose reverb-drenched blend of shoegaze, dream pop, and post-punk has drawn comparisons to Spiritualized, Cocteau Twins, and Deftones — and pulled in heavyweight collaborators like 4AD producer John Fryer and designer Vaughan Oliver. He also fronts Brooklyn post-punk outfit Clone, whose Martin Bisi-recorded debut “CL. 1” swaps atmosphere for agitation, proof that LG’s got more than one gear.
Paralyzed threads that needle beautifully — all the hazy, cavernous texture Dead Leaf Echo fans know and love, but with an edge that hints at where ‘I Am Your Pity’ might be headed. Press play above and hear it first.
LG opened up about the story behind the song:
““New face, new wounds, new crimes” is about instantly falling in love with someone on sight alone and then the instantaneous fear you have of losing said person or being hurt by someone you don’t even know. While the “no more no more no more” Jim Jones sample in the middle adds to a feeling of past betrayal and disengagement over initial feelings of love.”
‘I Am Your Pity’ arrives via Lost In Ohio on November 13, 2026. Pre-order the album here.
Catch LG live at the single release party at Pianos in NYC on September 10 — get there early, this one’s going to be intimate.
