Betsy Hershey aka BETS, will release her sophomore album ‘Future Color’ on October 26. She previously shared lead single Another Night and the smoldering Gold. Now, she reveals Out Of View, a dark industrial-pop track perfectly timed to harness the rage being felt nationwide.
‘Future Color’ began as a call to the creative side in everyone; the songs express themes of the uphill battle of isolation, frustration, and longing that can occur being an artist. BETS’ stunning new collection was created during the tumultuous, life-changing experience of a serious bike accident, which resulted in two serious surgeries. This confrontation with the fragility of life heightened her desire to create compounded with an urgency to complete the album. She’ll be playing album release shows at Elsewhere in Brooklyn on October 24 and at The Hi Hat in Los Angeles on October 28.
BETS quickly cultivated a steadily-growing international following through the release of her 2015 debut album ‘Days Hours Nights’ and ‘Project Violent Femmes’ shoegaze project early last year. Her music is highlighted by driving melodies, witty lyrics, and emotional reverberation that connects with fans all over the globe. ‘Future Color’ is a collection of ethereal, exhilarating songs that promise to introduce old and new fans alike to a uniquely gripping and fresh sound.
