Beware of Darkness releases mixtape

Beware of Darkness

Southern California-based soulful indie band, Beware of Darkness, have released their ‘Sanctuary Season’ mixtape via Bright Antenna Records.

Beware of Darkness is led by Kyle Nicolaides, and is often compared to Jack White and The Black Keys. The 2015 Mixtape offers a fresh perspective and brings the band closer to their fundamental bluesy roots that they were founded upon, mixed with a hip hop approach to production. The band named after the George Harrison classic track, is giving away the mixtape for free to fans via the band’s Souncloud – listen + download below. However, if fans want to further support the Beware of Darkness then they can also get it on iTunes.

“Amidst chaos we have to figure out what kind of control we have and what we as individuals can actually change. When things fall apart we have to decide whether we will let it make us stronger or collapse,” Nicolaides explains. “Sanctuary Season was my way of dealing with an uncertain future and chaos.”

Beware of Darkness made their debut in 2012 when they were asked to open for Tegan and Sara, Stone Temple Pilots, Bush, and Deftones. In May 2013, Beware of Darkness released their first full-length album ‘Orthodox’. Upon the release, the band toured the UK and played a tour across Europe as the main support for The Smashing Pumpkins.

‘Sanctuary Season’ is the result of an accumulation of musical growth and artistic expression garnered from their prior LP release in 2013.
