Here’s what the band had to say about I Thought We Had Plans.
“We recorded an 8-song demo at The Vault in Seattle, which is literally located in an old vault in the basement of a Bank of America. Ian Lesage engineered the recordings. The three songs appearing on the 7″ are from this session. We were going for a sound combining some of our favorite bands from the late 70’s and early 80’s (Talking Heads, Gang of Four, The Cure) with lyrical content regarding themes and issues that are relevant to us now (science fiction, sexual identity, relationship crap).” – Boyfriends
