I am not sure what Toronto label Hand Drawn Dracula are putting in their coffee, but they continually roll out great music (Little Girls, Bishop Morocco, Josh Reichmann, etc). Now, HDD have just announced that Toronto’s Breeze will release ‘Paradise (in a while) / Repent’, a digital two-song single and a limited pressing of 100 cassette tapes (including a download card). This is to wet your palate before they release their debut album which is in the works right now. To accompany the single, they also released a video for Paradise (in a while) (which you can watch below).

The video and single release party is on Saturday September 8th, 2012, at Day + Night Salon (1389 Dundas Street West) – so go check it out. Facebook event: facebook.com/events/407087899350566

More about Breeze? Breeze started as a few sketches in the notebook of songwriter, producer, and engineer Josh Korody (Beliefs / Elk). Their dream-pop sound took form soon after with collaborators and friends Kyle Connolly (Elk) and Shawn Dell (Great Bloomers) joining the band. After a few weeks of rehearsals, the three went into Korody’s Candle Recording Studio in Toronto’s west-end with Josh’s studio partner Leon Taheny (Owen Pallet / Dusted) to record a full length record. Assembling an impressive line up, Breeze has now pulled in bassist Dustin Hawthorne (Hot Hot Heat / Islands) and occasional member Louise Burns (Louise Burns / Gold & Youth) on keyboards.
