Canadian Music Week announces more artists for 2016

In less than a month, Canadian Music Week (CMW) will once again take over the city of Toronto from May 2-8. The festival spans 7 nights of performances, with hundreds of showcasing bands at more than 40 live music venues in downtown Toronto.

New additions
Even though the festival is less than a month out, they have added more bands! They added The Sheepdogs, Hannah Georgas, Jeff The Brotherhood, HUMANS, Amir Obe, Max Frost, Diarrhea Planet and more to the 2016 line up. For the full list of performing artists, go here.

Tuesday May 3 @The Phoenix Concert Theatre

The Boots and Hearts Music Festival is an annual country music festival at Burl’s Creek Event Grounds from August 4th – 7th produced by Republic Live. This year’s festival features headliners Blake Shelton, Tim McGraw and Dierks Bentley joined by Jake Owen, Sam Hunt, Chase Rice, Dean Brody and many more. M for Montreal and Brooklyn Vegan present: Ho99o9, Duchess Says, Dead Obies, The Posterz, Wasiu, and Ragers

M for Montreal, a 4-day music + industry event that takes place in Montreal. The festival is teaming up with tastemaker music site, Brooklyn Vegan to present this showcase.

The Osheaga Music and Arts Festival is a multi-day indie music festival in Montreal, Quebec, that is held annually at Parc Jean-Drapeau on Île Sainte-Hélène every summer. The festival takes place on five stages. This year’s line up features Red Hot Chili Peppers, Lana Del Ray, Radiohead and more.

The WayHome Music & Arts Festival produced by Republic Live, takes place at the custom designed Burl’s Creek Event Grounds July 22 – 24, 2016. The festival includes headliners LCD Soundsystem, Arcade Fire and The Killers and an additional 70 artists across four stages, a variety of late-night spectacles and experiences, original art installations, fine international and local cuisine, an on-site farmers market and more. All ticket offerings are currently on-sale exclusively at wayhome.com.

The festival wristband is great if you’re interested in discovering new acts and seeing a ton of bands. Here’s a couple options:
 
VIP wristband – this gives you 7-day line skip access to the Music Festival. VIP wristband holders will be allowed to “Pick 3”, which guarantees access to 3 shows of your choosing. All you’ll have to do is go to the CMW box office and pick up your tickets. This is on a first come / first serve basis. Being a CMW wristband holder also gives you the chance at guaranteeing a spot in our Win To Get In Series. At $150, this wristband provides value and status. 
 
CMW Festival Wristband – this gives you access to 7 days of live music. Priced at $75, the CMW festival wristband gives you the chance at guaranteeing a spot in our ‘Win To Get In’ Series.
