David Lee Rad Remixes KOPPS

KOPPS

David Lee Rad has just released a remix of fellow Rochester band KOPPS for the track ‘LA Lights’. Furthering the Rochester connection, the original track was produced by Dan Armbruster of Joywave, also based in Rochester. David Lee Rad takes the original track, chops up the vocals, slows down the track and adds some deep synths which moves it from the pop territory taking it to another level all together. If you like M83′s more upbeat tracks, I think you will like this remix. Take a listen to the remix and original below.

Little Girls Release New Video From ‘Cults’

Little Girls (who are Culture Addicts faves) release their newest video for the track ‘Daydream’ which is lifted from their latest album Cults. The video is directed by James Mejia & Henry Sansom and was filmed at Toronto’s local bar Unlovable. The video has a lo-fi vibe and features the band in a narrow, dark hallway with heavy strobes and really brings across the eerie feel of the track – very cool.

Watch the video below.

You can download the remix of Daydream @ www.facebook.com/HandDrawnDracula or listen to the ‘Daydream’ remix on Soundcloud below.

Catch Little Girls live at CMW2012 this week when the band play a showcase @ Parts & Labour on March 22 with Rituals and Army Girls.

A Place To Bury Strangers Get Remixed By School Of Seven Bells

School Of Seven Bells have reworked A Place To Bury Strangers’ ‘So Far Away’ which is lifted from the Onwards To The Wall EP. In this remix, the base elements are still there from  the APTBS sound – sharp drum beats, spaced out vocals, and atmospheric guitars but the fuzzed out, ear-drum splitting distortion from the original is not included in the remix. This is a softer gentler APTBS bought on via School Of Seven Bells. You can listen to both versions below.
