Cat’s Eyes have announced their new single Drag, which will be released on RAF via Kobalt Label Services on April 15th, 2016. The single comes with an abusive video lifting the lid on the homelife of Rachel and Faris, in which they share a romantic dinner for two to the beat of their latest hit. Watch the video below via YouTube.
Drag is taken from their forthcoming album ‘Treasure House,’ which will be released on June 3rd, 2016. The album was recorded at Real World Studios in 2015, and was produced and mixed by Steve Osborne (New Order, Suede, Happy Mondays).
Drag is the masterful first single from Cat’s Eyes forthcoming second album,’Treasure House’. Starting with Rachel Zeffira’s voice over wistful piano, there’s a distinct feeling of romantic doom hanging over the intro. But then the song turns, real musical drama kicks in – and it becomes clear that just because everyone says he’s bad for you doesn’t mean you have to listen or give a goddamn. In fact, the more they tell you to walk away, the deeper in you go. Relationships are private places and to hell with the rest of the world!
This is the third album by Rachel Zeffira & Faris Badwan, previous albums include Cat’s Eyes self-titled 2011 debut & last year’s European Film Award awarding wining soundtrack to Peter Strickland’s film, ‘The Duke of Burgundy’.
