The schedule of showcases for the CMJ Music Marathon 2015 has been announced and features over 1,000 artists performing in over 70 venues across New York City from October 13 – 17, 2015. Panda Bear, Perfect Pussy, Tobias Jesso Jr, Kamasi Washington, BØRNS, Titus Andronicus, Ex Hex were announced as CMJ performers earlier this month. Newly added musicians confirmed to perform at the conference include heavy shoegazers Nothing; Swedish psych-rockers Dungen; guitarist/singer Jessica Lea Mayfield who released her Elliott Smith cover album with Seth Avett earlier this year; Brooklyn trio and Tobias Jesso Jr-tourmates Wet; Oberhofer, who brings his psych-pop with orchestral flourish; Animal Collective tribesmen Deakin & more. Celebrating its 35th year, CMJ Music Marathon is working to change both the content and format of the modern day music conference, and returns to New York City October 13 – 17, 2015. Newly headquartered at Dream Downtown, this year will see five nonstop days and nights of live performances in New York City’s greatest venues, in addition to the four days of conference events with renowned speakers.
