Dead Leaf Echo have shared the video for their latest single, Strawberry Skin, which is also the title of their just released EP via PaperCup Music. You can watch it via YouTube below.
‘Strawberry Skin’ is the follow up to their 2016 ‘Lemonade’ 7″ single. For the EP, the band once again worked with Monte Vallier (Weekend/Wax Idols) on their new material, recorded at Mexican Summer’s studio in Greenpoint, Brooklyn, with contributions from Guy Fixsen (My Bloody Valentine/Wire) and Jorge Elbreht (Ariel Pink/No Joy). A full-length album is in the can, due to arrive late summer.
Dead Leaf Echo toured relentlessly in support of their 2013 debut album, ‘Thought and Language,’ and 2014 EP, ‘true.deep.sleeper,’ supporting artists such as Psychedelic Furs, Swervedriver, The Wedding Present, A Place to Bury Strangers, Trail Of the Dead, Weekend, Lorelei, The Ocean Blue, The Warlocks, Beach Fossils, Chapterhouse, Ulrich Schnauss and the Telescopes. In support of ‘Lemonade,’ last fall, the band performed at the Desert Stars Festival in Joshua Tree, along with a cross-country tour back east. Additional dates are in the works for the summer.
The psych/shoegaze quartet announced they will celebrate the release May 13 in their home borough of Brooklyn, at Alphaville, before heading to Europe for a run of dates through Denmark and Germany.
