Dead Stars’ sophomore LP, ‘Bright Colors,’ is due out March 4th via the band’s own Weird Tree Records, and they have shared another track from the album that Noisey describes as “the track to fit your minor existential crisis.” Take a listen to album track, Unpopular, via Soundcloud below.
Having drawn comparisons to ’90s favorites like Teenage Fanclub, Weezer, and The Lemonheads, there’s no denying that there’s a nostalgic quality to Dead Stars’ sound, but the Brooklyn-based trio manages to keep things fresh & modern. Crunchy, fuzzed-out guitars pair with catchy pop melodies and the band’s no-gimmicks approach to songwriting, resulting in songs that fans can sing along to after just one listen.
‘Bright Colors’ is currently available for pre-order.
