Dinner a.k.a Anders Rhedin recently signed to Captured Tracks, combines elements of EBM, Europop and darkwave, to make a sound that is “a bit like a sun-bleached cassette tape you’d find stuck behind your cars dashboard”—last played at a party in Dusseldorf in 1984—full of echoes of sweaty depressions, spiritual longings, and early-morning trances, so says Rhedin.
