Distance: The Series premieres in New York, Los Angeles, San Francisco, Austin and on YouTube

‘Distance: The Series’ is now available to stream in full via YouTube and distancetheseries.com. The series premiered to great critical acclaim for audiences in New York, San Francisco, and Austin, where it had previously been screened at SXSW in 2016. Distance received the Virgin Choice Produced Award at Seriesfest, and also screened at the New York Television Festival. Check out the trailer below.

Created by and starring Alex Dobrenko, who drew from his real-life experience to create ‘Distance,’ the six-part series follows Emily (Ashley Rae Spillers) and Sam (Dobrenko) as they carry on a long-distance relationship: she in Los Angeles, he in New York. It also features an original score by Jenn Romero. Episodes 1-5 can be watched from the perspective of either Emily (directed by Carlyn Hudson) or Sam (directed by Jack Mayer), allowing the viewer to feel intimately involved in their story and subjective points of view. Episode 6 is viewed from both perspectives, simultaneously.
