Miami band Donzii have shared their music video for Station with its funky and cosmic atmospheres. Led by the vocals of artist/choreographer Jenna Balfe, the song digs into Donzii’s penchant for dystopian themes, beckoning listeners to dance on a decrepit space station as the Earth below suffers a destructive apocalypse at the hands of extra terrestrial beings; described by the band as “dreamy with a hint of yearning,” the single was released digitally on April 16 of this year but the band have just released the accompanying AI generated video. Check out the video via YouTube below.
The song marks Donzii’s first release of 2024, following up on the ‘Fishbowl’ album and the ‘Penetrate’ EP, both of which arrived in 2023; that year also saw the ‘For the People’ album, which reissued the band’s first two EPs – 2018’s ‘Mines,’ and ‘Gladugly’ from 2019. Produced, mixed, and mastered by Ryan Haft, “Station” hints at the new material Donzii is currently writing for a new album. The band is scheduled to perform at the Mana Wynwood Convention Center in Miami on October 18 as part of the III Points festival, with tickets and additional information available via the III Points website; other acts on the bill include Massive Attack, Parliament Funkadelic, Jungle, Vintage Culture, and many more.
