Fresh off their wild 2024 run, Canada’s punk troublemakers return with a high-voltage anthem—because loitering never goes out of style.
Born to Loiter, Built to Riot
DVTR is barely two years old, but they’ve already torn through the Canadian punk scene, leaving their mark from Mexico to Japan, Europe to the UK—and always en français, s’il vous plaît. Their latest track, Né pour flâner (“Born to Loiter”), is a breakneck punk blitz, paired with a raw, DIY camcorder video chronicling their recent rampage across Asia.
“We’ve been raging against everything lately—patriarchy, the death industry, corrupt cops, the damn Olympics, you name it. But 2025? Kumbaya, baby. This one’s all about something we actually love: loitering. Let’s make it cool again. OK, bye.” – Jean Divorce
2024 Was Chaos. 2025 Is Just Getting Started.
The duo’s explosive live energy and razor-sharp punk edge earned them big wins at the Canadian GAMIQ Gala, snagging Revelation of the Year, Punk Album/EP of the Year, nand Animated Music Video of the Year. They capped off their whirlwind year with a sold-out, 500-capacity blowout at Montreal’s legendary Les Foufounes Électriques.
Fast. Loud. French. Unapologetic.
DVTR lands somewhere between The B-52s and the raw DIY energy of Jay Reatard—Demi Lune & Jean Divorce’s sound is urgent, abrasive, and absolutely relentless. Their unpredictable stage presence shatters language barriers, delivering gut-punch punk that doesn’t ask for permission. It repeats, it repeats, it repeats—because some messages demand to be screamed until the whole place burns down.
Brace yourself. Né pour flâner drops February 12.
