DZ Deathrays have announced that they will be touring throughout Canada and the United States this July. The Australian duo will be making stops in Quebec City, Montreal, Ottawa, Toronto, Chicago, New York, Philadelphia, and Boston.
The tour announcement comes shortly after the release of their recent single Blood On My Leather, which you can watch the video via YouTube below. For their latest single, Blood On My Leather, DZ Deathrays teamed up again with ‘Black Rat’ producer Burke Reid (Courtney Barnett, The Drones). Blood On My Leather hits you straight on with Ridley’s piercing drum kit and ceases to relent as Parsons’ heavy guitar riffs and brash vocals drive through the single’s quick twists and turns.
DZ Deathrays are Brisbane’s thrash party duo made up of Shane Parsons and Simon Ridley. The pair has already sold out multiple tours across Australia and New Zealand, opened for The Foo Fighters’ stadium tour, and accumulated two back to back ARIA awards for Best Hard Rock / Heavy Metal album for their albums ‘Bloodstream’ (2013) and ‘Black Rat’ (2014). DZ Deathrays have come a long way from the first house party gig they formed for.
DZ Deathrays are currently working on new material and hope to deliver new music soon. Be sure to look out for them along the East Coast and Midwest this July.
