Frank Carter & The Rattlesnakes, following on the heels of must-see live performances at the Glastonbury and Reading festivals, have released a new, digital single and accompanying video Spray Paint Love. Check out the video via YouTube below.
“Spray Paint Love was written in the early hours of the morning in the back lounge of a tour bus driving through the east coast of the United States of America,” explains Carter. “Mesmerised by the neon streets and glowing skies and the rolling landscape of unending road that we were constantly rolling along. It’s an obituary of a love song, and a reminder to live in the Now… because it’s all we have.”
The song premiered overnight on Annie Mac’s BBC Radio 1 show, and was followed by the release of a video for Spray Paint Love, which was shot inside Samsung’s innovative Hypercube.
Frank Carter & The Rattlesnakes released ‘Modern Ruin’ in January, with the 12-song album debuting at #7 on the UK album charts and collecting widespread praise from press worldwide. Rock Sound called the release “a modern day punk revolution,” Alternative Press gave the album four stars, describing it as “frenzied punk” and “incredibly powerful” while Rolling Stone Australia dubbed the album “a rifle grenade.” Frank recently visited Spotify’s studios to record acoustic versions of Snake Eyes and Wildflowers, which can be heard here: http://smarturl.it/FCATRspotifysingles.
