Ganser share new track ‘Satsuma’

Ganser

Chicago’s dark post-punk/no wave band Ganser, will be releasing their debut album ‘Odd Talk’ on 4/20 via No Trend Records. They’ve shared the album’s final single Satsuma (buy/stream), which is a sauntering accusation, full of art-punk sarcasm (“what a time to be alive” etc) and inaugural détournement. The keening anxiety present on other tracks on ‘Odd Talk’ turns into reservation here, coming out the other side as a swaggering warning against expectations and showing your hand in a time of uncertainty. Take a listen to Satsuma via Soundcloud below.

Throughout their new album, Ganser’s amorphous sound takes on the form of their comedically grim, absurdist subject matter. Mumbled, spit out, Ganser explores communication breakdown from beginning to end… seeking meaning in mess, they sort through syllables and signals to find the right words.

Ganser’s also hitting the road for a US tour in support of the album, which kicks off later this month. If they happen to be coming your way, don’t miss out! Most dates are w/ the similarly awesome band Bloody Knives too – all dates below.
