What’s up, music fans? Greet Death are back with a brand‑new record—say hello to ‘Die In Love,’ arriving June 27 via Deathwish Inc. And they’re dropping the first taste: the video for their single Country Girl.
Since 2011, childhood friends Logan Gaval and Harper Boyhtari have been conjuring songs that bleed heart and hustle: half‑dreamy shoegaze, half‑crushing doomgaze, and a splash of every‑gaze in between. Think of them as Michigan’s punky answer to Tom DeLonge and Mark Hoppus, riffing on big ideas and small moments alike. Their unexpectedly huge debut ‘Dixieland’ (2017) and the follow‑up ‘New Hell’ (2019) proved that Greet Death know how to wrap full‑on feeling in melody and distortion.
After six years away, they’ve returned to the very basement in Davisburg, Michigan where they cut their teeth—covering Metallica and Blink‑182, writing songs about batteries and frozen yogurt, and dreaming big in the wake of School of Rock. There, armed with nothing but their chops and a four‑track, they tracked ‘Die In Love,’ their third and most daring album yet.
At its core, ‘Die In Love’ wrestles with life’s big problem: we live knowing we’ll die, and we love knowing we’ll lose it all. But instead of bowing to despair, Greet Death have crafted anthems for our shared suffering—turning heartbreak into something you’ll happily belt along to.
Country Girl (single + video)
Directed by Chromatone Studios and co‑written/produced by Harper Boyhtari and L. Morgan, the video stars Harper and Logan in a tale of identity, alienation, and that uncanny feeling of discovering you’re both detective and culprit in your own story. As Harper puts it:
“It’s like trying to solve a murder mystery and finding out you were the killer the whole time.”

Why ‘Die In Love’ matters
Music has always been Logan and Harper’s secret language. He brings the sweeping visions; she nails the intimate snapshots. Together, they ask: how do we survive the heartbreak and loss waiting around every corner? Their answer is simple—soak up the cheap beer, laugh at the wreckage, hug the people who stick around, and turn your pain into a riotous singalong.
“Pain and loss. Everyone feels it, it’s a very human thing,” Logan says. “At the end of the day, we’re lucky to lose people we care about.”
