Artist and Musician Grey Gersten expands upon his multimedia work creating an installation and performance piece featuring a live video and audio stream of The Statue of Liberty.
This evocative new artwork interweaves telepresence, music, and video to explore the present moment in America. Open to the public during the day from 11am – 6pm, The Golden Door encourages visitors to meditate on Identity, Awareness, and Freedom. The reflective environment features a live video / audio stream of The Statue of Liberty (via Earth Cam) accompanied live by Gersten’s unique ambient soundscapes. “This piece does not have a political perspective or agenda” says Gersten. “It’s a mirror, each person’s experience will be more of a reflection of themselves then the work.” The result is a simple yet transcendent work, one that offers a glimpse of stillness in the midst of a turbulent time.
