heddlu soars into spring with heart-warming new single Paid Becso Am Dim (Don’t Worry About Anything), out now via Zawn Records!

Straight from the windswept shores of Cardigan, West Wales, Rhodri Daniel’s musical alter ego heddlu returns with a tender electronic-pop anthem built on hope and resilience. Written for the sister who stood by him through his own battles with hearing loss and tinnitus, Paid Becso Am Dim translates to “Don’t worry about a thing.” It’s Rhodri’s way of repaying the comfort she gave as he battled noise sensitivity—now transformed into shimmering synth lines, warm vocals and a chorus that feels like a reassuring hug.

A bit about heddlu
Rhodri Daniel first made waves as a founding member of Estrons, earning praise from NME, Vice, DIY, Clash and more. When Estrons wrapped in 2019, years of relentless touring took their toll and Rhodri was diagnosed with significant hearing damage. Unable to play live, he spent 2022 walking the entire 900-mile Wales Coastal Path while composing his debut album, ‘Cantref,’ entirely in his head. His sister’s unwavering support during that time became the spark for heddlu—Welsh for “peace-force”—a project devoted to sonic calm.

Over the next two years, Rhodri experimented with new textures and sounds, even scrapping an album’s worth of material as life’s surprises reshaped his vision. Those trials and triumphs ultimately became Tramor (“Overseas”), a collection of intimate, volatile songs about loss, estrangement and hope.

Paid Becso Am Dim is the first taste of ‘Tramor,’ out early summer 2025 on Zawn Records, and it comes just in time to remind us all: whatever storms we face, there’s always a melody of comfort waiting on the other side.
