The new solo project High Ends from Yukon Blonde frontman Jeffrey Innes is releasing his debut album titled ‘Super Class,‘ which will be out on October 7 via Dine Alone Records. ‘Super Class’ is available now for pre-order of the hot pink vinyl and digitally.
Cappuccino, lifted from the album, pays homage to a local barista who introduced Innes to the beverage. “If Jimmy Buffet can write a song about cheeseburgers, I can write a song about coffee,” the singer says with a laugh. Take a listen to Cappuccino via Soundcloud below.
The 10-track album takes listeners on an 80’s-inspired, synth soaked & often psychedelic journey and was recorded with producer Colin Stewart (Dan Mangan, The New Pornographers) at his Vancouver Island facility. During the sessions, Gold & Youth drummer Jeff Mitchelmore handled percussion, Louise Burns and The New Pornographers’ Kathryn Calder contributed backing vocals, and Ladyhawk’s Darcy Hancock laid down guitar.
