Hooded Fang release sixth studio album, ‘Dynasty House’

Hooded Fang

Hooded FangDaps Records has released ‘Dynasty House,’ the sixth studio by Hooded Fang. No strangers to the eclectic Toronto music- scene, their followup to 2016’s ‘Venus on Edge‘ raises the bar on a steadily flourishing music catalog. What sets Hooded Fang apart from the pack lies not just in their hyper prolificacy, but in their continuous gold standard song writing. ‘Dynasty House’ is a testament to that.

Hooded Fang Dynasty House coverThrough dark, driving rhythms, ethereal synths and poetic storytelling, Hooded Fang shares six heroic stories of struggle and resilience. Lyricists April Aliermo and Daniel Lee each honour members of their families. In Dynasty House, they recount their parents’ lives life back in the motherland (The Philippines, Germany and Surinam), chronicle journeys of migration and reveal times of tribulation and triumph. Lee composed ‘Dynasty House’ with room for the instrumentals to breath, allowing the listener to meditate and daydream while jiving along to the heavy beats.

2017 sees the band playing shows and festivals in support of ‘Dynasty House’. While Drummer D.Alex Meeks finishes up watch-making school, the band is happy to welcome Jonathan Pappo in the rhythm section.
