Hoorsees share ‘Get Tired’ video

Parisian indie-pop group Hoorsees have shared the single and video Get Tired. The track is a glistening dream pop track that sets the stage for the February 19th release of their self-titled debut album via Kanine Records. Amongst crisp chord changes, and crunchy guitar lines, singer Alex Delamard reflects on stages of loss while always returning to the motif Get Tired. A concept that encapsulates the dragging sadness and subtly wry humor that pervades Delamard’s writing. The track itself might be the saddest reflection on love within the album, but it’s also a screwed-up kind of solution; offering ownership to escapism.

Get Tired is accompanied by a charming visual, shot in the residential southern outskirts of Paris and featuring Delamard taking a very good boy for a trip to the park. Eagle-eyed fans will notice the cameo from the Soleil Club, which served as the setting for the bands previously-released Overdry video. Watch the video clip via YouTube below.

Get Tired is the third release from Hoorsees’ upcoming self-titled debut album. October saw the release of the single Overdry; a bittersweet melodic gem about wrestling to overcome a mental breakdown. Videogames followed in December with its dive into the escapism of video gaming when facing emotional turmoil.

While Spacemen 3 had their ‘Taking Drugs to Make Music to Take Drugs To,’ Hoorsees is the sound of a band “being sad to make music for being sad to.” For those into the indie rock scene that flourished at the end of the 90s, and for all those times spent moping in your room rather than doing something productive, this Parisian quartet is the horse to bet on.
