Howardian streams new album, ‘A Smurf at Land’s End’

Howardian

Ian Vanek from Japanther once again to release his second full-length, ‘A Smurf at Land’s End’, as Howardian. Vanek’s fusion of lo-fi garage fuzz, technical poly-rhythms, and hip-hop influence satisfies curious Japanther fans and new listeners alike. The album is currently streaming in full via Bandcamp below.

Howardian A Smurf At Land's End cover
‘A Smurf at Land’s End’ finds the New York City group, in a mystic, street informed, art rock mode with warm piano driven leads and cooled out vocals. The first offering, No Nothin’ Bae, is a hooky rock song with a haunting melody. ‘A Smurf at Lands End’ is released today on Let’s Pretend Records featuring album art by Molly Crabapple.

Howardian will also be heading out on a full US tour supporting the album, including dates at SXSW 2016.
