\"RevolverRevolver Gallery<\/a>\u00a0today announced it’s adding a\u00a0Michael Jackson portrait by Andy Warhol to its\u00a0Andy Warhol: Revisited<\/a>\u00a0exhibit at 77\u00a0Bloor Street West in Toronto. The rare portrait of the King of Pop will be on display at Canada\u2019s largest exhibit of original Warhol prints and paintings starting Monday, July 20.<\/p>\n

Warhol was commissioned by\u00a0TIME Magazine<\/em>\u00a0to do a portrait of Michael Jackson for its cover on March 19, 1984. A near perfect subject for Warhol, this was the period when Jackson was considered the most famous man in the world.<\/p>\n

Located in a 4,200 square foot pop-up gallery space in Toronto,\u00a0Andy Warhol: Revisited\u00a0will rotate more than 120 historic Warhol pieces throughout the exhibit\u2019s six-month run including portraits of Marilyn Monroe, Mao, Mickey Mouse, Queen Elizabeth, the Dollar Sign Canvas, and the Campbell\u2019s Soup Cans, along with a rare series of prints of John Gotti commissioned by the\u00a0New York Times<\/em>.<\/p>\n
