The track, which Pitchfork called <em>&#8220;a captivating change of pace,&#8221;<\/em> is lifted from the band&#8217;s LP, &#8216;Brutal,&#8217; which is\u00a0out now\u00a0via the amazing\u00a0 Buzz Records. Watch the video via YouTube below.<\/p>\n<p><span class=\"embed-youtube\" style=\"text-align:center; display: block;\"><iframe loading=\"lazy\" class=\"youtube-player\" width=\"640\" height=\"360\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/V9pFpVBLmqk?version=3&#038;rel=1&#038;showsearch=0&#038;showinfo=1&#038;iv_load_policy=1&#038;fs=1&#038;hl=en-CA&#038;autohide=2&#038;wmode=transparent\" allowfullscreen=\"true\" style=\"border:0;\" sandbox=\"allow-scripts allow-same-origin allow-popups allow-presentation allow-popups-to-escape-sandbox\"><\/iframe><\/span><\/p>\n<p>&#8216;Brutal&#8217;\u00a0was produced by Josh Korody (Fucked Up, Dilly Dally, Beliefs) and Shehzaad\u00a0Jiwani from Greys, who sees the record\u00a0as a culmination of The Beverleys&#8217;\u00a0efforts so far, and a major step forward for the band.\u00a0<em>&#8220;It is still amazing to me, thinking back to meeting The Beverleys two years ago, to making this record with them a year later, to watching them on stage now. Their transformation is astounding,&#8221;<\/em> he says, <em>&#8220;the first thing you realize about them is that they have no filter &#8211; there is a primal immediacy to their songs because it&#8217;s pure emotion. There was no premeditated discussion about what the band should sound like &#8211; this is just what came out of their instruments, and more importantly, what came out of them. The songs sound ugly and raw because these women are exorcising demons on this record. They have no greater ambition than to express themselves, and that&#8217;s what makes the album feel like an instant classic to me.
