Philadelphia psych\/shoegaze quartet Weekender are back with their latest\u00a0single, Loving\/Hating<\/em>, which has premiered via\u00a0Consequence of Sound<\/a>, who stated, \u201cWeekender combine dreamy pop melodies with crunchy guitar riffs that seem to have a mind of their own.\u201d<\/em>\u00a0 The track is lifted from their upcoming sophomore ‘Floaty Feeling, Blue<\/a>‘ EP, which\u00a0is due out on January 15th via\u00a0PaperCup Music.<\/p>\n

Songwriter Derek Sheehan credits an infusion of analogue synths into the mix, that really pushed the band\u2019s sound forward on the\u00a0‘Floaty Feeling, Blue<\/a>‘ EP.<\/p>\n

Over the course of the past two years, Weekender has become\u00a0a staple\u00a0band in Philadelphia to support touring artists coming through town including Future Islands, The Growlers, Nothing, Surfer Blood,\u00a0Israel Nash, Peace, and Field Report, amongst others.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
