For their FW16 collection, UNTTLD designers Jos\u00e9 Manuel St-Jacques and Simon B\u00e9langer were inspired by the numerous and eclectic \u201cpersonages\u201d found in a royal court during the Renaissance era.<\/p>\nMercedes-Benz Start Up (MBSU) awarded designer UNTTLD will show their Fall\/Winter 2016 collection during Toronto Fashion Week on Tuesday, March 15 at 9 p.m.<\/p>\n
Montreal-based UNTTLD was named the Awarded Designer, following a semi-final group runway show that featured six Canadian designers during Fashion Week in Toronto last October. This coveted title comes with year-round mentoring from a panel of fashion and industry experts, editorial coverage in FASHION Magazine, the aforementioned upcoming solo runway show fully produced by IMG as well as a $30,000 bursary.<\/p>\n

After graduating from C\u00e9gep Marie-Victorin in Fashion Design, Jos\u00e9 went on to perfect his knowledge of textiles and techniques in the Fibre Program at Concordia University’s faculty of Fine Arts. As a graduate of LaSalle College’s Fashion Design program, Simon B\u00e9langer earned a Master’s degree at the Domus Academy of Milan. The design duo\u2019s luxury line reflects a sense of masculine femininity and timeless elegance, focusing on fine fabrics, the perfect fit and iconic inspirations. As well as winning the Mercedes-Benz Start-Up contest, UNTTLD also won the Star Wars fashion competition during World Mastercard Fashion Week.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
