Tim Burgess\u00a0and\u00a0Peter Gordon\u00a0have announced details of their\u00a0new album.\u00a0\u2018Same Language, Different Worlds\u2019 will be released through Burgess\u2019 own label O Genesis on\u00a0September 2nd<\/sup>, 2016.<\/p>\n

The Charlatans\u00a0frontman originally met New Yorker\u00a0Gordon\u00a0in 2012 and they decided then on music collaboration. Burgess\u00a0had been a long time fan of\u00a0Gordon\u2019s\u00a0work with\u00a0Arthur Russell\u00a0and\u00a0The Love Of Life Orchestra. The album was produced by\u00a0Gordon\u00a0in New York and features many of his and\u00a0Tim\u2019s previous collaborators:\u00a0Ernie Brooks\u00a0who played with Arthur Russell on the first Modern Lovers album, trombone player\u00a0Peter Zummo, conga player\u00a0Mustafa Ahmed\u00a0and\u00a0Nik Void\u00a0from\u00a0Factory Floor.<\/p>\n

“What I love about working with Peter is that in the late 70s with Peter Zummo and Arthur Russell and all the New York cats at The Kitchen, they were all making futuristic records,” <\/em>Burgess said. “Now Peter in his mid-60s is still looking to do that. It’s the world that I want to be in.”<\/em><\/p>\n
