They initially\u00a0teased the project back in 2015 with the release of\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/cultureaddicts.com\/2015\/09\/22\/nomads-re-emerge-with-new-single\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Traumatoph\u00f8bia<\/a>, aka the fear of pain.<\/p>\n<p>The return of N\u00d8MADS at this point in time is no coincidence&#8230; fear, as an abstract force, has never held a stronger place in our society than it does today. It colours everything we see outside of ourselves.\u00a0Each song on &#8216;PHOBIAC&#8217;\u00a0examines the fear process through the prism of rare clinical phobias, all approached in the abstract.\u00a0The buried message within this set of material is a cautionary one: when we succumb to fear, chaos reigns.\u00a0Technically speaking, it&#8217;s generally accepted that phobias arise from a combination of external events and internal predispositions (i.e. heredity or genetics). Many specific phobias can be traced back to a specific triggering event, usually a traumatic experience at an early age.<\/p>\n<p>N\u00d8MADS&#8217; members\u00a0Nathan Lithgow and Garth Macaleavey paused in 2016 to focus on their respective parallel lives &#8211; one a budding sommelier in the NYC fine-dining restaurant world and bassist for\u00a0My Brightest Diamond, the other the technical director for Williamsburg&#8217;s most respected new music venue,\u00a0National Sawdust.\u00a0With <em>Achluph\u00f8bia<\/em> and the &#8216;PHOBIAC&#8217;\u00a0announcement,\u00a0N\u00d8MADS is officially back for 2017.<\/p>\n<h5>&#8216;PHOBIAC&#8217; track list<\/h5>\n<p>1.
