\"PONY\"Toronto’s PONY have shared\u00a0Alone Tonight<\/em>, the second single debut 7″, which will be out\u00a0via\u00a0Buzz Records. Following on the heels of their single DIY<\/em>, Alone Tonight<\/em> is another immaculately-realized lovelorn powerpop song\u00a0with the feel of an early 90s college radio classic, propelled by\u00a0a chiming guitar hook that underpins frontwoman Sam Bielanski’s reflections on a stagnant relationship, Dragons’ Den, and learning to be ok with being alone.<\/p>\n

“I wrote ‘Alone Tonight’ when I was in a super codependent\/comfortable relationship,”<\/em> she tells FADER. “We would literally do the exact same thing every day, which included watching 5 or 6 episodes of Dragons’ Den on Netflix. I realized that we had absolutely nothing to talk about anymore and we just watched TV all the time to kind of hide the fact that maybe we weren’t ‘meant to be.’ It’s very much about how in the end I realized being alone, as scary as it was at the time, was way better than settling for someone who I basically just watched TV with.”\u00a0<\/em><\/p>\n
