The phenomenon of paranormal experiences presupposes a duality of time between the past and the present; a figure existing in both the past and present planes. Phasmophobia is often confused with Spectrophobia, a fear of mirrors or reflection, which is interesting in that a ghost is in essence a reflection of a past reality.<\/p>\n<p><span class=\"embed-youtube\" style=\"text-align:center; display: block;\"><iframe loading=\"lazy\" class=\"youtube-player\" width=\"640\" height=\"360\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/FrF3dnUMI-o?version=3&#038;rel=1&#038;showsearch=0&#038;showinfo=1&#038;iv_load_policy=1&#038;fs=1&#038;hl=en-CA&#038;autohide=2&#038;wmode=transparent\" allowfullscreen=\"true\" style=\"border:0;\" sandbox=\"allow-scripts allow-same-origin allow-popups allow-presentation allow-popups-to-escape-sandbox\"><\/iframe><\/span><\/p>\n<p>We all have our ghosts. <em>Phasmoph\u00f8bia<\/em> tells the story of an ex-lover, haunting the streets of the paranoid narrator&#8217;s daily world.\u00a0After last month&#8217;s release of\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/cultureaddicts.com\/2017\/08\/03\/26328\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><em>Megaloph\u00f8bi<\/em>a<\/a>, the duo has chosen to release the next two singles in live video form, showcasing the band&#8217;s progression towards the synth-driven shape of &#8216;Ph\u00f8biac Part 2,&#8217; to be released in a March 2018.<\/p>\n<p>Featuring swirling, long-form synth improvisation, and man vs machine drums from Brian Wolfe (of David Byrne &amp; St. Vincent and the Dap Kings), the Live from Pittsburgh video series was filmed in the cavernous shadows of an abandoned Catholic school&#8217;s furnace room, executed in one full take with no edits.
