He made a name for himself as the frontman and mastermind behind indie outfit\u00a0Dios (Malos), who Pitchfork described as making California&#8217;s pop less predictable.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>His solo work traffics in the dusty, sepia tones of music that could only be made in LA&#8217;s desert haze, and the bands (Cherry Glazerr,\u00a0Froth,\u00a0La<strong> <\/strong>Sera, etc) he&#8217;s had a hand in producing have carried this torch to critical acclaim.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>His new video for\u00a0<em>There&#8217;s Nothing Here to Bother You Anymore<\/em> is directed by\u00a0Steve Hanft, who directed the lo-fi\u00a0Elliott Smith\u00a0documentary \u2018Strange Parallel\u2019 and shot\u00a0Beck&#8217;s <em>Loser<\/em> video. The video clip follows a day in the life with Jerome and his bull dog as they wander through LA&#8217;s sun-baked parking lots.
