Street Sects embrace the ethos of punk and the experimental zeal of the industrial scene and craft a rawboned, bareknuckled sound anchored in deft lyrical storytelling.  The band\u2019s pointed, dirge-ridden social commentary serial album \u2018Gentrification\u2019 is in its fourth installment; \u2018Gentrification IV: Suspended from Gallery Rails\u2018 was released last November on The Flenser.  <\/p>\n\n\n\n

In support of the release, Street Sects have hit the road on their first tour of 2020, touring the western U.S. with Portrayal of Guilt \u2014 check out all tour dates listed below.  <\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u2018Gentrification IV<\/a>\u2019 is the penultimate installment of the eponymous series that served as a launching pad and stylistic credo for Street Sects, who formed in 2013. Poking and prodding the increasing class disparity plaguing urban America, the \u2018Gentrification\u2019 series interrogates the exploitation of art for the sake of capitalist gain. Driven by machine-made bleats, tongue-in-cheek lyricism, teeth-gritting vocals, and brutal irony, \u2018Gentrification\u2018 is a distillation of Street Sects in both style and sonics. \u2018Gentrification IV\u2019 is also coupled with a short story \u2014 \u201cSuspended From Gallery Rails\u201d \u2014 written by Street Sects frontman Leo Ashline.   <\/p>\n\n\n\n
