The LP is the\u00a0band&#8217;s first new material since 2016&#8217;s\u00a0\u2018More,\u2019 which saw the band team up with\u00a0Holy Fuck&#8217;s\u00a0Graham Walsh. To go along with the announcement, they have shared the lead single <em>Ploce<\/em>, and you can stream the animated video by\u00a0Amy Lockhart\u00a0via YouTube below.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-embed-youtube wp-block-embed is-type-video is-provider-youtube wp-embed-aspect-16-9 wp-has-aspect-ratio\"><div class=\"wp-block-embed__wrapper\">\n<span class=\"embed-youtube\" style=\"text-align:center; display: block;\"><iframe loading=\"lazy\" class=\"youtube-player\" width=\"640\" height=\"360\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/YugPKGKAnbw?version=3&#038;rel=1&#038;showsearch=0&#038;showinfo=1&#038;iv_load_policy=1&#038;fs=1&#038;hl=en-CA&#038;autohide=2&#038;wmode=transparent\" allowfullscreen=\"true\" style=\"border:0;\" sandbox=\"allow-scripts allow-same-origin allow-popups allow-presentation allow-popups-to-escape-sandbox\"><\/iframe><\/span>\n<\/div><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>On the new track,\u00a0the band explained,\u00a0&#8220;<em>Ploce is the name of Tim&#8217;s fish who passed away\u2014the figure of speech (not the place in Croatia). It refers to words repeated for emphasis. On the internet some examples provided are:\u00a0<br><br>&#8220;I am stuck on Band-Aid, and Band-Aid&#8217;s stuck on me.&#8221;<br><br>&#8220;First she ruins my life. And then she ruins my life!&#8221;<\/em>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Never afraid of collaboration or change,\u00a0\u2018Is The Idea Of Us\u2019 is a product of working closely with Carl Didur\u00a0 (Zacht\u00a0Automaat, formerly\u00a0U.S. Girls), resulting in a new direction, focusing more on space and repetition, finding the\u00a0in-between<em>\u00a0<\/em>and reflecting on it, examining that transition. The album is\u00a0anxious in its repetitions and is unsure of genre, so much so that over half of the tracks on the record bear that very name. <em>Ploce<\/em>\u00a0is more sure of itself and more focused,\u00a0one of cornerstones in the collage that is the forthcoming new album.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u2018Is the Idea of Us\u2019 is the situation of\u00a0musicians and non-musicians making music together, perhaps completely illegible in the music on this record and to the random listener.\u00a0There are enough bands out there; New Fries insist on do it differently.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><img data-recalc-dims=\"1\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/mcusercontent.com\/04780c244c226dd8f0096243b\/_compresseds\/2b6530c2-ea8a-4f1b-834f-fa271d91fa88.jpg?ssl=1\" alt=\"\u2018Is the Idea of Us\u2019 Cover artwork\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>\u2018Is the Idea of Us\u2019 tracklist<\/strong><br>1.
