This is a follow-up to the band\u2019s first EP&nbsp;\u2018R-E-F-L-E-C-T,\u2019 released in 2018, as well as the single <em><a href=\"https:\/\/girlieaction.us1.list-manage.com\/track\/click?u=1d59aca4aeedaab429816159e&amp;id=8fe015c87c&amp;e=3a430a552a\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">ROOT<\/a><\/em> in&nbsp;2019 via Bandcamp. Along with the announcement, their newest track, <em>DEPENDENCY<\/em>, will be released today (Saturday, July 17) as a part of&nbsp;Record Store Day. Bandleader Jayan began his journey as a musician listening to metal and classic rock. His first formal lessons after a year of self-taught practice came from family friend and talented jazz guitarist,&nbsp;Bemol<strong> <\/strong>Telfort. Although jazz wasn\u2019t his first love, it opened his heart to explorations of free improvisation, which led to an introduction to Dion, Josh, and Josue\u2014all active members on South Florida\u2019s jazz scene.<br>&nbsp;<br>The band recently attracted international rock \u2018n roll consciousness following a secret all-ages matinee in the gardens of North Miami\u2019s Centre for Subtropical Affairs with DC hardcore photographer&nbsp;Susie J&nbsp;(Teen Idles,&nbsp;Minor Threat, et al.) and&nbsp;Sonic Youth\u2019s Thurston Moore&nbsp;front and center. The Miami indie band completed the eight-track album&nbsp;\u2018XVI\u2019 earlier this year, mastered by Norwegian sound artist&nbsp;Lasse Marhaug.
