Back in the old world at the start of 2020, our psychedelic punk heroes\u00a0The Lovely Eggs\u00a0released their new album\u00a0\u2018I Am Moron\u2019\u00a0\u2013 the Lancaster duo\u2019s greatest work yet, over-flowing with political venom and fresh ideas, set to a gloriously independent noise.\u00a0
Then, of course, the pandemic happened. The Lovely Eggs pushed ahead, and the album came out to critical-acclaim and #1 indie chart-topping status, but their plans to tour it were clearly stopped. These tour dates have now been rescheduled a staggering seven times independently by the band and are now, thankfully, set to start later this month (full dates below). <\/p>\n\n\n\n
But in that time, they\u2019ve made a new fan and friend in\u00a0Iggy Pop, the Godfather of punk. Throughout the pandemic, Iggy has been playing The Lovely Eggs on his 6 Music show which led to the new collaboration called\u00a0I, Moron<\/em>\u00a0<\/strong>via the band\u2019s\u00a0Egg Records\u00a0label.\u00a0 The video for I, Moron<\/em> is suitably deranged, drawing you into The Lovely Eggs claymation world.\u00a0Check out the video clip via YouTube below. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
