The track is lifted from their incoming new<em>\u00a0<\/em>EP\u00a0\u2018Everybody Talks\u2019\u00a0which is out now via their new label home; LA\u2019s\u00a0Beverly Martel.<br><br>Dirty-treble guitars cut and thrust throughout, whilst frontman\u00a0Dylan Howes\u2019\u00a0cough syrup croon tells a story of vengeance and rebellion in the face of love. It\u2019s a real showstopper from the newcomers &amp; accompanied by the a video, which gives \u201c<em>a snapshot of a grittier Ireland<\/em>\u201d\u00a0explain the band.\u00a0<em>\u201cIt touches on addiction, substance abuse and dealing with one&#8217;s inner turmoil. One person&#8217;s normality is another person&#8217;s insanity. The video is a comment on how we perceive the outsiders of society, and how isolated they can be because of the collective view of them<\/em>\u201d. With a wealth of songs written over the years, primarily by vocalist\u00a0Dylan Howe\u00a0in his bedroom, the first clutch of songs\u00a0Rowan\u00a0released were delicate, longing and beautiful.\u00a0<br><br>Released in November last year, their debut EP \u2018No One Is Safe Here\u2019 is a wistful collection of quiet serenity. Full of longing, escapism and a desire to be somewhere else, the songs were inspired by Dylan\u2019s \u201c<em>various struggles with mental health\u201d<\/em> as he used art to \u201c<em>try and get the bad stuff out. It\u2019s like therapy,<\/em>\u201d he explains.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Of course, there were questions about whether\u00a0Rowan\u00a0should release music during a pandemic, especially with most established acts waiting for it all to blow over. \u201c<em>We figured doing anything was better than radio silence,\u201d<\/em> explains Fionn and he was right. People connected to the pained escapism their music offered, which seemed to speak to the current moment in time perfectly. They didn\u2019t have expectations to suddenly become the biggest band in the world, \u201c<em>we just wanted to connect to people\u201d<\/em>.\u00a0<br><br>Connecting with people is exactly what\u00a0Rowan\u00a0did. Now, under new label home\u00a0Beverly Martel,\u00a0Rowan\u00a0continue to establish themselves as an emotional force to be reckoned with.
