Nearly a year in the making, fans can expect both arrivals and departures from what they may be expecting, as the band offers a complete range of emotions throughout this collection.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Their new album is preceded by the lead single\u00a0<em>Misunderstanding<\/em> &#8211; a dark, sexy, danceable track that demonstrates how the band became so beloved on the post-punk and cold wave scenes in just a short time. As with many tracks on this latest album, my tentative register was landing a bit lower from trying to sing it out in the early morning hours. So, the profound moody thing resonated, and the song unfolded around my fingers on the synths,&#8221; <\/em>says\u00a0Ean Clevenger<strong>.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>&#8220;<\/strong><em>The Creux added some great additions during production and elevated this song to what it is today. Ironically, the lyrics and message behind the track illuminate a moment of clarity when the misunderstanding of a perspective actually reveals itself as absolute authenticity.&#8221;<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Their 2018 debut album\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/creuxlies.bandcamp.com\/album\/the-hearth\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener nofollow\">&#8216;The Hearth&#8217;<\/a>\u00a0(produced by\u00a0Patrick Hills, recorded at\u00a0Earthtone Studios\u00a0and released via\u00a0Cleopatra Records\u00a0with 3 sold-out vinyl pressings) made quite a big impact on the international post-punk and cold wave scene, putting the four-piece on a trajectory that ultimately led to signing with Freakwave. \u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Apart from successful tours in North America and Europe, Creux Lies has shared the stage with the likes of\u00a0The Soft Moon, Clan of Xymox, Drab Majesty, Soft Kill, Gene Loves Jezebel, ACTORS, Vowws\u00a0and\u00a0Twin Tribes, as well as performing at Absolution Fest, WGT, Murder of Crows NY and playing to a sold-out crowd at Wave-Gotik-Treffen in Leipzig.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Freakwave was formed in 2020 as part of a new international structure comprised of ten record labels established by\u00a0Schubert Music Europe GmbH\u00a0with international distribution by\u00a0The Orchard.
