Max\u00efmo Park have announced details of a singles-only tour and one-off 7-inch single, featuring brand-new song Great Art<\/em>.

As a band well-known for their album craft but equally beloved for their stand-out big-hitters, the S\u00efngular Tour is a rare chance to hear Max\u00efmo Park press play on the jukebox they\u2019ve been meticulously curating over the last 18 years. Celebrating the art of the single, the band will perform the likes of Apply Some Pressure<\/em> and Going Missing<\/em> from their breakthrough debut album\u00a0\u2018A Certain Trigger,\u2019 to All Of Me<\/em> from their latest album\u00a0\u2018Nature Always Wins,\u2019 via whirlwind fan-favourites like The National Health<\/em> and Our Velocity<\/em>. It will be a show unlike any they have presented before.

Max\u00efmo Park are also sharing a brand-new single, Great Art<\/em> – their first new music since the release of their acclaimed 2021 album\u00a0\u2018Nature Always Wins,\u2019 which peaked at #2 on the Official UK Albums Chart. It is a song that distils the frustrations felt by a decade-plus of right-wing rule that has decimated communities, generational and international relations – and notably the arts world. Max\u00efmo Park have always worn their politics well, and Great Art<\/em> makes for yet another hook-filled, thoughtful \u2013 and scathing – addition to the canon of singles that have helped to define their extraordinary reputation as alt-pop hit-makers. Singer Paul Smith comments on the new single:

\u201cThe song is about the insidious nature of Conservative ideology, and a response to people who say, “at least we’ll get some great art out of it!” We’re excited to have new material to play alongside our other singles on the S\u00efngular tour – we’ve always written songs crammed full of hooks, so that’s our ideal medium in some ways.\u201d<\/em>
