Next month, Miami\u2019s\u00a0Seafoam Walls\u00a0<\/strong>will head out on a run of North American tour dates\u00a0beginning on\u00a0April 7\u00a0in support of\u00a0Unknown Mortal Orchestra. It will come on the heels of guitar\/singer Jayan Bertrand\u2019s time spent on the road opening for the\u00a0Thurston Moore Group\u00a0across Europe, happening now.\u00a0

The band released their acclaimed debut album\u00a0\u2018XVI<\/a>\u2019\u00a0in\u00a02021 via\u00a0The Daydream Library Series, the house record label of\u00a0Ecstatic Peace Library operated by\u00a0Eva Prinz\u00a0&\u00a0Thurston Moore. Having received support from outlets like\u00a0Pitchfork<\/a>,\u00a0SPIN<\/a>\u00a0(who named them one of\u00a022 Artists To Watch In 2022<\/a>),\u00a0Afropunk<\/a>,\u00a0Under The Radar<\/a>,\u00a0BrooklynVegan<\/a>,\u00a0FLOOD Magazine<\/a>,\u00a0Audiotree<\/a>\u00a0and beyond, the band is ready to bring their savvy blend of jazz, shoegaze, rock, hip-hop, and Afro-Caribbean rhythms back to the road.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The name Seafoam Walls is meant to convey a sort of pseudo-chromotherapy, suggesting a relaxed mood when one is alone with their thoughts in a seafoam green-colored room. But the themes explored on \u2018XVI\u2019 are heavy \u2014 self-identity, philosophy, navigating today\u2019s crumbling social constructs \u2014 and stem from Bertrand\u2019s online interactions and personal experiences, making him question his and others\u2019 humanity. A collection of songs as ethereal journeys; both the compositions and ideas found throughout explore a myriad of paths that almost never repeat themselves \u2014 and demand to be heard live.
