Check out the visualizer for Constellation via YouTube below. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-embed is-type-video is-provider-youtube wp-block-embed-youtube wp-embed-aspect-16-9 wp-has-aspect-ratio\"><div class=\"wp-block-embed__wrapper\">\n<span class=\"embed-youtube\" style=\"text-align:center; display: block;\"><iframe loading=\"lazy\" class=\"youtube-player\" width=\"640\" height=\"360\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/YOVlC2lbTSE?version=3&#038;rel=1&#038;showsearch=0&#038;showinfo=1&#038;iv_load_policy=1&#038;fs=1&#038;hl=en-CA&#038;autohide=2&#038;wmode=transparent\" allowfullscreen=\"true\" style=\"border:0;\" sandbox=\"allow-scripts allow-same-origin allow-popups allow-presentation allow-popups-to-escape-sandbox\"><\/iframe><\/span>\n<\/div><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>FACS\u00a0have been perfecting their brand of intense, cathartic art rock over the course of four ever-evolving albums.\u00a0 Beginning with 2018\u2019s\u00a0\u2018<a href=\"https:\/\/anotherside.cmail19.com\/t\/y-l-palrlk-itjldhidjy-i\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" title=\"\">Negative Houses<\/a>\u2019\u00a0thru 2021\u2019s landmark\u00a0\u2018<a href=\"https:\/\/anotherside.cmail19.com\/t\/y-l-palrlk-itjldhidjy-d\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" title=\"\">Present Tense<\/a>,\u2019 the trio digs deep into the gaping maw of a black hole and pulls back whatever debris they can grasp onto.\u00a0\u2018Still Life In Decay\u2019\u00a0comes as an addendum to their last album\u2014 a \u201cpost-event review,\u201d if you will.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>While\u00a0FACS\u00a0are a heavy band, they don\u2019t necessarily\u00a0<em>feel<\/em>\u00a0like one\u2014 Case\u2019s fluttering, melodic guitar lines are buoyed by the insistent, underlying pulse of an expert rhythm section. Bassist Alianna Kalaba, who stepped in for founding member Jonathan Van Herik in 2018, makes her amicable last stand here with the group. Alongside drummer Noah Leger, they dance and twist around each other like a double helix, forming the DNA of what makes\u00a0FACS\u00a0so<strong>\u00a0<\/strong>special. Collectively they approach rhythm from outside the groove as opposed to inside it, creating a lattice where Case weaves guitar lines like creeping vines, making the moments on\u00a0\u2018Still Life In Decay\u2019 where the band locks in even more powerful.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>FACS\u00a0have never been more solidified as a unit, and\u00a0\u2018Still Life In Decay\u2019 is a decidedly focused effort.
