Instead, it\u2019s a raw, riff-heavy gut-punch aimed at the rising tide of hate, with just the right dash of irony to keep things sharp. They\u2019re not here to fit in\u2014they\u2019re here to make you think, sweat, and maybe spiral a little. The&nbsp;\u2018Backroom Sessions\u2019&nbsp;EP, recorded live at&nbsp;<strong>Backroom Studios in Rockaway, NJ<\/strong>, and out now&nbsp;via&nbsp;Records, Man Records. If this latest track is anything to go by, it\u2019s going to be a wild, unfiltered ride.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The EP follows the band\u2019s brilliantly strange and stunning debut,&nbsp;\u2018Shadows Grow Fangs,\u2019 which treated us to bangers like the title track, the internet-roasting <em>The Internet<\/em>, and the groovy, sensual <em>Prayer on Love<\/em>. That EP was cooked up at The Art Farm (NY), mixed by&nbsp;<strong>Nicholas Vernhes<\/strong>&nbsp;(yep, the one who\u2019s worked with Animal Collective and The War on Drugs), and mastered by Grammy-winner&nbsp;<strong>Joe LaPorta<\/strong>&nbsp;(he\u2019s done magic for Bowie, FKA Twigs, and more). No small potatoes here.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The band\u2014rounded out by&nbsp;<strong>Bella Komodromos<\/strong>&nbsp;(vocals),&nbsp;<strong>Chris Krasnow<\/strong>&nbsp;(guitar),&nbsp;<strong>Gannon Ferrell<\/strong>&nbsp;(guitar), and&nbsp;<strong>Henry Buchanan-Vaughn<\/strong>&nbsp;(drums)\u2014is a five-headed performance beast walking a tightrope between brilliance and bedlam. And they\u2019re taking that energy on the road.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Catch them this&nbsp;<strong>June<\/strong>&nbsp;as they team up with&nbsp;Spacehog&nbsp;and&nbsp;EMF&nbsp;for a full West Coast tour that starts in&nbsp;<strong>San Jose<\/strong>&nbsp;on June 14 and wraps up in&nbsp;<strong>Las Vegas<\/strong>&nbsp;on June 28. Yes, that\u2019s the&nbsp;Spacehog. Yes, the&nbsp;EMF who are absolutely fantastic live.
