This record doesn\u2019t just spit in the face of good vibes\u2014it curb-stomps them in an alley behind the venue.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Birthed in the sweaty, dim corners of DC\u2019s punk scene,&nbsp;\u2018BAD VIBES OST\u2019 is a snarling, distorted ride through 11 tracks of no-wave sneers, garage punk filth, and post-punk tension. And&nbsp;<em>S.C.U.M<\/em>&nbsp;was literally written in a weed haze while high on goat cheese and Valerie Solanas. No joke. \u201c<em>I don\u2019t believe in ghosts<\/em>,\u201d says Sal, \u201c<em>but it felt like she was holding a lit cigarette to my eye.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The band\u2019s lore is as loud as their music. Jacky misremembered a Lemmy story and turned it into a song title.&nbsp;<em>Johnny and Moz<\/em>&nbsp;breaks down the wreckage of relationships. And on&nbsp;<em>Comfort Man<\/em>, they were so fired up about the subject, they made their producer\u2019s dad lay down the worst flute solo of all time in his dishonor. Pure pettiness. Pure genius.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>If you like your music dirty, snarling, and unrepentant\u2014like Stooges, Bad Seeds, Royal Trux, or The Kills\u2014\u2018BAD VIBES OST\u2019&nbsp;will scratch that unholy itch.
