Texas shoegaze outfit Glare are taking their beautifully scorched sound on the road this fall with a full North American headline tour across September and October 2025. The tour follows the band\u2019s run with Superheaven and their much-hyped sets at this summer\u2019s Sound & Fury in Los Angeles. They’ll also hit Aftershock Festival in Sacramento and Furnace Fest in Birmingham before winding through the East Coast, Midwest, and their native Texas. Along for the ride in select cities: Cloakroom, Jivebomb, and Destiny Bond.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

If you’re just catching on: Glare aren\u2019t your average shoegaze band. Formed in 2017 in the Rio Grande Valley, they’ve got a reputation for selling out rooms and melting faces\u2014not just with volume, but with an emotional intensity that\u2019s more tidal wave than wallflower. The band\u2019s debut LP, \u2018Sunset Funeral,\u2019 dropped in April via [label here if needed], and it\u2019s already been praised as a late-night road trip essential (Knotfest), \u201ca quadruple shot of Sunny D and Codeine\u201d (Revolver), and a \u201ccomforting haze-warp\u201d (Stereogum). Treble nailed it best: Glare care more about songwriting than gear settings\u2014and it shows.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Sunset Funeral<\/em> is as heavy as it is heady. It\u2019s a record about grief, dreams, and all the weird, wordless emotions in between. Think heatstroke melodies, fuzz-drenched textures, and songs that feel like they\u2019re cracking open the atmosphere. It\u2019s humid. It\u2019s hypnotic. It\u2019s heartbreak at full volume.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
